The Ant Chair (replica)
- Reproduction of Arne Jacobsen’s Ant chair
A shortage of materials after the war led designers in the US and Europe to renew their earlier experiments with bent plywood. Arne Jacobsen was the first to master the technology while creating a piece of furniture that was aesthetically pleasing: the elegant 1951 ‘Ant’ or 3100 chair.
Available in a black- or white-painted finish, this is the perfect kitchen chair – comfortable, practical, stackable and with an element of fun. Partner it with a glass-topped table, so that its quirky curves can be seen from every angle, or mix and match it with the Series 7 chair, for a visual change of pace.
