Reproduction of Arne Jacobsen's the Swan Chair
First seen in Paris, in 1957, the Swan chair was one of a number of pieces of furniture designed by Arne Jacobsen for his modernist masterpiece, the Royal Hotel (now the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel), in Copenhagen.
Elegant and simple, the little Swan is a versatile piece that lends itself both to the bedroom and the boardroom, its soft, comfortable curves more conducive to inspired thinking than the average office chair.
Piping is a type of double stitching, which actually creates a narrow fold all the way along the edge of the chair. The first original chair was created without piping however the newer version of the original now also has piping. If you choose the chair with piping on the website, as well as material and colour you will see the pictures will change to your selection and you will be able to see the difference.
