1900-1990

The German designer Wilhelm Wagenfeld was throughout his life and in all his designs closely associated with the Bauhaus school in Germany. He studied at the school and graduated in 1924. In his final project he collaborated with his teacher Carl Jacob Juncker. Wagenfeld was a kind of pioneer in industrial design and experimenting with both the Bauhaus style and processing. His work and reputation made him an often used designer for many of the big companies such as Lufthansa. He designed everything from furniture to cutlery to his famous salt &pepper set and lamps. The German lived a long life and led his own office even at 78 years old!
