No no, don’t worry! You won’t trip over the rugs four divisions or fall into them - this carpet is com-pletely flat. The designer behind it, however, was a playful gentleman and his purpose was almost certainly to tease the rug’s audience and provoke them to use their senses. The gentleman was Danish and named Verner Panton. At 52 years old he designed VP I in a pattern that afterwards has become well known. Playful Designs and recognizable psychedelic patterns were the recipe for Panton and on this basis, we say: Welcome to VPI!
