Verner Panton’s 1964 Fun lamps combine Pop Art with an almost hippy vibe, setting them slightly apart from his curvy, colourful furniture. Their translucent, mother-of-pearl discs are suspended from a chrome frame by tiny double rings and move in a breeze, almost like wind chimes.
Attractive even when not lit, the lamps – there are matching table and floor lamps – produce a gently diffused light. Use them to add a softer, more feminine feel to an otherwise clean-lined, contemporary interior.
