Le Corbusier

1887 (Switzerland) – 1965 (France)

Man, maverick, designer mastermind, Le Corbusier was born Charles- Édouard Jeanneret, but later changed his name as way of showing how one can easily reinvent themselves. This way of forward thinking did not stop at his name as he quickly became world-known for his work. Mostly self-taught, having trained himself through regular visits to libraries, museums, exhibitions as well as lots of trail and errors; le Corbusier was wildly talented, something that was evidenced through his many titles such as: architect, designer, urban planner, teacher, writer and so much more. At the time of his death in 1965 his career had spanned over five decades with his work being featured on almost every continent.
