1904-1988

Throughout his life, Japanese-American artist and sculptor Isamu Noguchi struggled to unite his bicultural heritage. He was not easily accepted, especially by his Japanese countrymen, who perceived him as an unfortunate hybrid between two seemingly irreconcilable cultures. However, in time his unique talent for creating design masterpieces dispelled all doubts as to his potential and he goes down in history as one of the greatest designers of all time. Isamu Noguchi's works are sublime examples of art and interior design combined into one creative production.
