With more than 500 designs to his name, the late Hans J Wegner remains the undisputed king of chairs and, specifically, chairs made from natural materials and combining function with aesthetics. Calling this (1949) design, one of his earliest, ‘The Chair’ shows the designer’s confidence in his work. The graceful arc described by the back of the chair ensures relaxed comfort over a prolonged period, while showcasing the beauty of the wood.
It’s available in ash or oak wood and is an elegant addition to the dining table, home office, bedroom or boardroom.
