Eileen Gray
1878-1976
Born to an affluent Scottish-Irish family, Eileen Gray spent her life between London, Paris and Ireland. Although she didn't receive much recognition during her lifetime for her work, she is now hailed as the most important woman in furniture design, and one of the most influential interior designers of the 20th century. Her ground-breaking Bidendum chair changed the scope of modern interior design.
