Le Corbusier LC1 Chair (replica)
- Replica of Le Corbusier's LC1
Less familiar, perhaps, than Le Corbusier, Jeanneret and Perriand’s LC2 and LC3 chairs, the LC1 chair is clearly from the same stable. Sharing their regimented Bauhaus lines and use of tubular steel, it is one of their earliest pieces, dating from 1928 when the team made its first foray into furniture design.
Also known as the Sling Chair, the Safari chair and ‘le Basculant’, the LC1 is a versatile design, at home in a number of settings, from study to bedroom – we’d use it as a feature chair in the sitting room – and is available in aniline leather or cowskin.
