Charles Le Corbusier
1887-1965
Swiss architect and designer Le Corbusier died at the age of 77 while swimming in the Mediterranean, presumably after having suffered cardiac arrest. His doctors had advised him against swimming but Le Corbusier was a stubborn man known for having his own way. This also applied to his designs. Based on rational practicality, his furniture design always focused on clear, precise and stringent lines. Le Corbusier stands for logical and practical furniture design.
Charles le Corbusier’s vision: to design furniture based on rational functionality.
