Series 7 Chair (replica)

  • Reproduction of Arne Jacobsens Serie 7 chair.

The follow-up to his Ant chair, Arne Jacobsen’s Series 7 chair has simpler, almost classical lines. First produced in 1955, the wasp-waisted wooded chair works equally well with contemporary or traditional dining tables, its clean lines providing a strong visual contrast with, for example, a turned leg table in a richly patinated wood.

Available in a black- or white wooded ply wood finish, the chair is stackable – a useful attribute when space is limited.

THE SERIES 7 CHAIR – THE TOP OF THE LEAGUE This iconic design by Arne Jacobsen took the world by storm in 1955 when The Series 7 Chair was presented for the first time. Sevens, as this chair is called is one of the world's bestselling shell chairs, and you've certainly seen it before. It adorns present shops, meeting rooms and private homes, and this iconic design is going nowhere. SIMPLE COMPLEXITY Although The Series 7 Chair seems very simple, many hours were put into his infamous design. Arne Jacobsen was a perfectionist, and nothing was left to chance when he threw himself into new projects - only the best was good enough. It took him a long time to create The Series 7 Chair so he himself was satisfied with the outcome, but eventually he managed to create a chair, which despite its modest name has been at the top of the first division since it came out. ORGANIC SHAPES The chair’s soft, organic shapes are repeated in many of Jacobsen's later works, and the easy chair with the equally simple name has also served as inspiration for many of today's cabinet-makers worldwide. None of them did manage to push ‘the seven’ out of the market. The chair has taken a place in a large group of human hearts, and its long durability has made the chair a precious heirloom in many homes. The slim shell chair includes a strong energy and a unique spirit which new designers cannot recreate. SERIES 7 CHAIR The Series 7 Chair attractive seat is made of molded plywood, which is painted in either black or white. The slender but strong legs provide a secure grounding and complete the organic design. Whether you're into simple beauty or complex elegance The Series 7 Chair is a very safe choice if you want to impress your guests or just treat yourself and your family. The chair is molded perfectionism and Danish heritage of the first class. The Seven Chair is also available with armrests, and works well as a lounge chair in a hallway or the corner of a living room.
