Its clean lines are typical of 1960s Danish style and provide an elegant way to put your feet up and relax. Its versatile form can also be used as a seat. Upholstered by hand in aniline leather, which has a natural grain that improves with age, the stool comes in complimentary colours to the Wing Chair. Choose from black, brown, dark brown, camel, sand, red, white or cream.
The story behind the Mogensen Wing Chair Stool
Børge Mogensen was celebrated for his functional and minimalist designs and his Wing Chair and Stool combination are perfect examples of his distinctive style. Their classic aesthetics are completely timeless and could be attributed to any era from the modern day to a hundred years ago. The inspiration actually came from the 1920 sofa designs of Mogensen's mentor, Kaare Klint. This influence can be seen in the clean lines and angular shapes of the frame. The padded cushioning, however, is pure Mogensen and showcases his love of furniture that serves its purpose with elegance and grace.
