Bibendum chair (replica)
- Reproduction of Eileen Gray's Bibendum chair
Outrageously talented and often neglected, Eileen Gray was the outstanding female designer of the 20th century. The fabulously opulent Bibendum chair dates from the early 1920s, when the Irish designer was commissioned to decorate a Parisian apartment in its entirety. Despite its name, its generous curves give the chair an unashamedly feminine feel when compared with Charlotte Perriand’s tubular steel designs for Le Corbusier in the late 20s.
There’s room for both: why not combine the Bibendum with the LC3 for the ultimate in his and hers seating? Both chairs are available in eight shades of aniline leather.
